I do not know if you know this or not Tux, but Kerry Livgren plays guitar on this song. The Kansas sounding part you mentioned reminds me of the beginning to the Kansas song No One Together from Audiovisions. Revolution of the Mind is a good album although some parts sound like other bands. One song sounds a lot like a Boston song. I like John Elefante's work outside of Kansas and think he is a really talented guy.
