Billy (who has lost a lot of weight) mentioned last night that they were back in Red Rocks almost to the day a year ago from last year. This time it was with Jethro Tull, who Billy mentioned Kansas had not played with for almost 25 years.

Kansas played for 1:05 and played very well. While JT was the headliner, the crowd seemed very into Kansas. The "house" was full or close to it, surprising given that average tickets were about $80 (far more than last year for Kansas/Styx/Foreigner). I think there were 3 people under 40 there.

I had never seen Tull before. The "band" is all about Ian, that is for sure. If it is hard to find rythm in Kansas, it is even harder to find it in Tull. I have to admit I bolted after Aqua Lung. I was shocked that was not their finale.

My wife and I had a really great time at that show thanks to Billy. Here are some pics....
