I was laying in bed this morning with the tv on, still half asleep. It's been the week from hell at work...but anyway, the tv is tuned to HGTV (yes, I'm an HGTV addict!! ) and I hear someone say they are doing a landscape project for homeowners Phil and Laurie centered around their special needs child Noah. I opened my eyes and it was Phil and family on a show called Ground Breakers (one of my faves btw). They explained the need for a chemical free/less allergan play space for Noah. The finished project was pretty awesome! At the end the host said he wished Phil had been around for more of the project and Laurie said this is what he spends all his time doing...the camera showed Phil, David, and Billy (I didn't see Rich or Steve) in a room, I assume in Phil's house, jamming. :D :D

My fave guys on my fave tv channel! 8)

Crud. I see no re-air date. I did find this link with a photo of the house:

http://www.hgtv.com/ground-breakers/che ... index.html

Is that it?

Looks like they do have some full eps online but not this one yet if it's the one that aired at 8 this morning.

How recent did it look Darla? What did David's face look like?

I think it aired again at Noon eastern today, but that really doesn't help anyone...

Checking TV Guide, tomorrow morning's 10e/7pacific airing is a different episode.

Yep, that's the house. I take no responsibility for any Captain Thunder stalkers!! They only showed David for a few seconds, sorry, didn't get a good look Missy.

I called Donna this morning and said wake up NOW and turn on HGTV. I said just shut up and do it! We call each other all the time and discuss the latest Candice Olsen (my fave HGTV designer) Devine Design but I usually wait til I know she's already awake. Yes, I know I need therapy.

Jeez, Darla... this is too unbelievable!!! I too, am an HGTV junkie and watch Groundbreakers often. However, I missed this particular episode, darn it! They often re-run these shows a few months out, so I will keep my eyes open in the future.

Candace has been my favorite designer for several years now. She rarely does a room that I don't like. How ironic that you and I have an Interrior Design fetish in common!!! :D

I'd like to catch this as a re-run or on Youtube if anyone see's it. Perhaps I'll just set the DVR to tape Groundbreakers for a month or two and see if I can catch it.

That's some castle that Kansas bought! You would have thought Phil wrote Dust and COWS.

Hunni, I can think of worse fetishes to have than one for HGTV. I have a repeative HGTV dream... Candace and I are standing in the road in front of my house, a huge machine is busy ripping it apart piece by piece and loading it into dump trucks. I can hear hubby scream when he pulls onto our road from a half mile away. He screams...what are you doing??? We (Candace and I) say..it was ugly, we are starting over. The blood drains out of his face when he realizes I haven't taken anything out of the house including his prize custom Grizzly in the garage. Of course I've told him about the dream which he now refers to as the house-muncher dream.

Steve, I'm sure the show will repeat, although, it seems to take a while for that show for some reason.

PE has no idea when it'll repeat. We'll have to keep an eye out for it.

I've always said that when I win the lottery, I will hire Candace to decorate my Santa Cruz beach house, and Paula Deen will cater the housewarming party! :D Now, guess which band I will hire for the event? ;)

(Yeah, yeah, dream on... :D )

Phil Ehart interview on
http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com/dt/p ... 19236.html

Bill Neill, who conducted the interview heard here with Phil Ehart (drummer and co-founder of the band Kansas), seems surprised at first to hear that the band was still together in 1988. This is relatively understandable as it had been over ten years since the release of their biggest hits, “Dust in the Windâ€

There are a couple of concerts on that same website. This one features a blistering guitars rendition of Born to be Wild featuring Rich and Steve Morse. I know some of you have this one, but this is the first time I've heard it. Pretty damn cool!!

Hope I set the link up correctly. :?

I poked around HGTV.com and while there was no video of the show, I did find out that this episode repeats on Sunday, January 25 at 7am Eastern & Pacific! It looks like none of us are going to sleep in that morning (unless you've got TIVO, which I don't). I might pop in a VHS tape to record it, though... they still make those things, you know! ;)
